Charger Classic Golf Outing a Success!

Ben Rogers
On Friday, October 14th, CH-CH trustees, current and past parents, alumni, and friends enjoyed a beautiful fall day at Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland at the Charger Classic Golf Outing. Participants enjoyed a challenging course and a great round of golf. In addition to competing for the longest drive and the shot hit closest to the pin, golfers competed for prizes at various holes by putting with a hockey stick, and hitting a drive with a vintage wooden club!

Faculty and staff were represented by golfers including Nanor Antreassian, Jim Bellanca, Lance Conrad, and Bill Gostylo. At the clubhouse reception, Chuck Black, P’10, Trustee, led an appeal to support Financial Aid at CH-CH.

As always, community volunteers were indispensable in making the day run smoothly. We would like to thank Chuck Black, P’10, Trustee for conducting the successful revenue enhancement piece, as well as our parent volunteers Jane Burns, P’19, Erin Duggan, P’20, Lisa Kane, P’18, Suzanne Loonie, P’17, Trustee, and Jenilee Ward, P’18 who monitored hole contests throughout the day. We would also like to thank CH-CH volunteers Jim Kaduboski for monitoring the hole-in-one car contest hole, Greg Abel for photographing the golfers and the action on the course and Janet Sachs for helping with check-out.

The event was tremendously successful and raised approximately $30,000 for financial aid which is a 30% increase from previous years! Thank you to all who contributed and supported this event!

We hope you can join us for next year’s Charger Classic Golf Outing scheduled for Friday, October 13, 2017.
